While leading Energetic, he developed EneRate Credit Cover, a first-of-its-kind credit insurance policy for renewable energy projects which won Insurance Insider Magazine’s “New Underwriting Product of the Year” in 2020. With a strong track record of driving strategic growth, innovation, and delivering exceptional value in the insurance space, Jim will play a pivotal role in helping us address evolving risk and development of new insurance solutions. The industry leading new solutions Jim and Renewable Guard are working to identify or create include:
- Addressing rising probably maximum losses (PMLs) and optimizing excess catastrophe (CAT) coverage
- Solutions for gaps in tax insurance not yet addressed by standard tax policies
- Making merchant battery storage (BESS) projects bankable with a rated price floor
- Technology performance guarantees for new energy transition technologies like geothermal and carbon capture
and a host of other challenges brought to Renewable Guard by the industry.
